I will not be going too much into technical details about the lens specifics as those can already be found on other sites including: The-Digital-Picture and Photozone. MTF charts and 100% crops do not interest me nor do they provide me with valuable information as to how the lens will react during a shoot. If you are shooting a piece of paper in your kitchen, you are wasting your time. Get out and photograph something meaningful.
