In Their Eyes #2: The Yankee

Along the Mekong River, near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I met this man tying his boat to a dock.  He was dressed sharply, had a strong posture, and was welcoming.  This man interested me.

Today we have a diptych.  That's right, two photos for the price of one!  Why are these two photos combined as one?  Because only one photo does not tell the story I am trying to convey.

Amazing California Redwood Panorama

Here is an interesting video about National Geographic photographer Michael Nichols' project on Redwood trees in California.  Nichols gives some background information on the project, the rig he used to shoot the amazing panorama, and NatGeo's decision to run a five-page spread.
